Redmi K90 Pro (Poco F8 Ultra): Camera Specs Leaked, Excitement Builds!

Anticipation surrounds the forthcoming launch of the Redmi K90 Pro in China, given the approximate one-year interval since the release of its predecessor in November 2024. The device is speculated to be rebranded for international markets as the Poco F8 Ultra. Recent reports have surfaced concerning the camera specifications of both models.
The Redmi K90 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra are projected to share the same primary camera system, employing a 1/1.3″ type sensor. This sensor is anticipated to be identical to that incorporated in the recently unveiled Xiaomi 17, featuring an f/1.7 aperture and a 23mm focal length, along with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

This represents a significant advancement over the 1/1.55″ type sensor utilized in the K80 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra, potentially allowing for enhanced light capture. The sensor itself is rumored to be a customized variant by OmniVision, bearing Xiaomi Light Fusion branding.
Regarding the telephoto camera, a periscope lens is expected, integrating a 1/2.76″ type sensor. This could potentially be Samsung’s ISOCELL JN5. If accurate, the K90 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra are projected to offer 2.5x-3x optical zoom capabilities, with the potential for telephoto macro functionality.
The ultrawide lens may utilize OmniVision’s OV50M sensor, featuring a 50 MP resolution and a 1/2.88″ size. This would constitute a notable upgrade from the previous generation’s 32 MP ultrawide, which incorporated a 1/3.42″ type sensor.
Based on these specifications, the Redmi K90 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra appear to prioritize camera performance improvements, assuming the accuracy of these reports.
