The Galaxy S22 devices, originally launched with Android 12, were slated to receive four major Android updates. This One UI 8 update marks the final major OS upgrade for this device family. While Samsung may elect to modify this support structure, it is currently unlikely.

The Galaxy S22 series will continue to receive security updates for a designated period. However, no further major feature updates are planned. Samsung’s commitment to extended software support has evolved, with newer flagship devices now guaranteed major Android updates for seven years.
