Apple’s Streamlining: Apple TV+ Becomes Simply Apple TV.

Apple Streamlining Branding: Apple TV+ Rebrands to Apple TV

Apple has announced an immediate rebranding of its proprietary streaming service, formerly known as Apple TV+, to Apple TV. This change was subtly introduced within a press release concerning the streaming release of “F1: The Movie.”

This nomenclature shift introduces potential ambiguity, as “Apple TV” now denotes the streaming service itself, the application used for content access, and the Apple TV 4K set-top box, a hardware device still actively marketed by Apple.

The rebranding coincides with the global streaming debut of the aforementioned film on the Apple TV platform. The film remains available for purchase on various digital platforms, including the Apple TV app, Amazon Prime Video, and Fandango at Home, among others.

Notably, the Apple TV landing page has yet to reflect the naming change, still utilizing the “plus” designation.

Concurrent with the rebrand, Apple has updated the Apple TV app icon in iOS 26.1 beta 3, incorporating a revised color scheme within the icon’s design.
