Oppo Find X9 Series: Initial Impressions
Following the official launch, the Oppo Find X9 series has been made available for preliminary assessment. This report provides an initial overview based on a brief hands-on experience with the Find X9 model. Comprehensive testing and benchmarking are forthcoming.
The Find X9 exhibits a premium build quality. The device incorporates an aluminum frame, providing a tactile, cool feel, and a matte glass back. This design choice aims to minimize fingerprint accumulation.
Available in three color options: Titanium Grey, Space Black, and Velvet Red. The Velvet Red variant is particularly striking.
The device dimensions are 7.99mm in thickness and 203 grams in weight, striking a balance between slimness and structural integrity. The physical buttons offer a responsive feel, and the device features a customizable “Snap Key,” Oppo’s implementation of a user-definable action button.
The Find X9 features a 6.59-inch flat OLED display, consistent with its predecessor, the Find X8. The design incorporates 1.15mm bezels, creating the visual impression of an expansive screen. The display offers high brightness and a variable refresh rate of 1-120Hz, aligning with industry standards for premium Android devices in 2025.
The rear camera system comprises three 50MP sensors. The primary sensor utilizes the LYT-808, carried over from the Find X8 Pro. It also features a 73mm periscope lens offering 3x optical zoom, and a 15mm ultrawide module. An additional 9-channel multispectral sensor, termed the “True Color Camera” by Oppo, is integrated into the system.
Internally, the Find X9 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, coupled with either 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. The device offers robust ingress protection, rated IP66, IP68, and IP69. A 7,025mAh silicon-carbon anode battery is included. The software experience is managed by the latest ColorOS 16, based on Android 16.
The global launch of the X9 and X9 Pro is scheduled for later this month, at which time international pricing will be announced.
