Vertu Officially Launches Agent Q Smartphone
Today, Vertu unveiled the Agent Q smartphone at Harrods in London. This device features a 6.02-inch AMOLED display with a 1080×2340 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the Agent Q is the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, specifically the “Supreme” variant, paired with 16GB of RAM and either 512GB or 1TB of internal storage. The device is equipped with a 5,565 mAh battery supporting 65W wired charging.
The Agent Q incorporates a comprehensive camera system. The primary camera utilizes a 50 MP sensor with OIS and a 35mm focal length, employing Sony’s IMX906 sensor with a variable f/1.59-4.0 aperture. An ultrawide camera, featuring a 50 MP sensor from OmniVision (1/2.88″ OV50D), offers a 122-degree field of view and 2.5cm Super Macro capabilities. A 64 MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom and OIS, utilizing the OmniVision OV64B sensor, is also included. The front-facing camera boasts a 32 MP resolution.
Additional features of the Agent Q include dual stereo speakers with DTS Ultra technology and a dedicated hardware encryption chip. Purchasers will receive 10TB of cloud storage. The device revives the Ruby Key functionality, now rebranded as Ruby Talk. A single press of this button activates the “AIGS network,” described as a distributed network of over 200 specialized AI agents designed to execute commands, as stated in the official press release. Human concierge services remain available for 24/7 support when necessary.
The Agent Q showcases premium design elements. The device is encased in crocodile leather and incorporates a falcon-wing SIM chamber, a Swiss hinge, 320 hand-assembled components, U-shaped seamless forming, gold plating, and a ceramic pillow. According to the company, the device represents “ceremony” rather than mere design.
Pricing for the Agent Q has not been disclosed. The device is exclusively available for purchase at Harrods in London, signifying “a return to Vertu’s spiritual home – the pinnacle of luxury, now paired with groundbreaking innovation.”
