OriginOS 6, X300 & Moto X70 Air: Week 42’s Tech Rundown!

Recent Smartphone Releases in China: vivo, Oppo, Motorola, and Samsung
This week, several significant smartphone announcements have emerged from the Chinese market, representing advancements in design, performance, and features.
vivo
vivo has unveiled the new OriginOS 6, a redesigned operating system slated to replace FunTouch OS. OriginOS 6 incorporates a visual aesthetic that draws inspiration from iOS 26, incorporating transparent elements and a layered design. The global rollout of OriginOS 6 is scheduled for later this month.
Simultaneously, the vivo X300 series has been introduced in China, comprising the X300 and X300 Pro models. The X300 Pro offers a flagship-sized form factor, while the X300 features a 6.31-inch display. Both devices are powered by the Dimensity 9500 System-on-Chip (SoC) and incorporate large-capacity batteries. International availability of both models is under consideration. Pricing in China begins at CNY 4,399 (approximately $620 USD) for the 12GB/256GB configuration of the X300 and CNY 5,299 (approximately $745 USD) for the equivalent X300 Pro variant.
Oppo
Oppo has officially launched the Find X9 series, including the Find X9 Pro and Find X9 models. Both devices share the same Dimensity 9500 SoC found in the vivo X300 series. The Find X9 Pro and X9 feature high-capacity batteries, with the X9 equipped with a 7,025mAh battery and the X9 Pro offering a 7,500mAh unit. The Find X9 has a 6.59-inch display, while the Pro model features a 6.78-inch screen.
Pre-orders for the Find X9 series are currently open in China. The base model X9 (12GB/256GB) is priced at CNY 4,400 (approximately $620 USD), while the Find X9 Pro in the same configuration is priced at CNY 5,300 (approximately $745 USD). Oppo is expected to announce its plans for a global release in the near future.
Motorola
Motorola has introduced the Moto X70 Air, a China-exclusive model distinguished by its slim profile, measuring only 6mm in thickness. The device features a 6.7-inch screen, a 4,800mAh battery, and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, with a weight of 159 grams.
Samsung
Samsung has launched the W26, a China-exclusive model that serves as a variant of the Z Fold7. The W26 features cosmetic modifications and a premium unboxing experience, which contributes to its elevated price point. The W26 is priced at CNY 16,999 (approximately $2,390 USD) for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage version.
