iPhone 17: Strong Demand Surpasses Predecessors’ Sales Quickly.

Apple’s iPhone 17 Series Demonstrates Strong Sales Performance, Surpassing Predecessors
Initial sales data for the iPhone 17 series, released over a month ago, indicates significant positive market reception, according to a recent report by Counterpoint. The report highlights a substantial increase in demand compared to the preceding iPhone 16 series during the first ten days of availability in key markets, including China and the United States.
Specifically, the iPhone 17 series achieved a 14% increase in sales volume relative to the iPhone 16 series during the initial sales period. Further analysis reveals granular performance data across the different models within the new lineup. The iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models have demonstrated a 12% increase in sales compared to their iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max counterparts. Furthermore, the base model iPhone 17 has exhibited a notably stronger performance, with sales figures 31% higher than those of the iPhone 16. The iPhone Air, the fourth model in the series, has also experienced favorable demand, exceeding the sales of the iPhone 16 Plus.
Counterpoint analysts attribute a portion of this positive sales trend to the upgrade cycles of consumers who purchased iPhones during the COVID-19 pandemic. These “COVID-19-era purchasers” are now entering their natural upgrade period, contributing to the overall demand for the iPhone 17 series.
