Samsung’s Moohan XR Headset: Watch the Livestream Event Right Here!

Samsung is formally unveiling its extended reality (XR) headset, internally codenamed Project Moohan. The official launch event, which will likely introduce the device as the “Galaxy XR,” is now underway. A livestream of the unveiling is available below.

The device was previously showcased in a limited capacity at CES. Today’s presentation marks the official launch, with the event commencing at 2:00 AM Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and 10:00 PM Eastern Time (ET).

Initial specifications indicate the “Galaxy XR” will operate on Google’s Android XR operating system. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 platform. Comprehensive technical details are anticipated during the livestream presentation.

Samsung has stated that “Android XR is designed to scale across form factors.” Reports suggest that Samsung is also developing smart glasses and other form factors within the XR space. While these additional devices are not expected to be unveiled today, further information regarding Samsung’s internal projects, codenamed Haean and Jinju, may be disclosed.
