Samsung’s First Tri-Fold Smartphone Anticipated for Launch at APEC 2025 Summit
Samsung has officially confirmed the forthcoming release of its inaugural tri-fold smartphone, although a precise launch date has remained undisclosed. Recent reports from The Korea Herald indicate the device is poised for its unveiling at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2025 summit. This summit is scheduled to convene in Gyeongju, South Korea, from October 31st to November 1st.
The product’s nomenclature remains undetermined, with potential designations including “Galaxy G Fold” or “Galaxy Z TriFold.” Initial production volume is projected to be highly restricted, with Samsung reportedly planning to manufacture between 50,000 and 200,000 units during the introductory phase.
Speculation surrounding the device’s pricing places it at approximately $2,800 USD, representing a premium of $1,000 over the launch price of the Galaxy Z Fold7. Initial availability will be limited to select markets, including China, South Korea, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates, according to prior reports.
