Apple Releases iOS 26.1 Release Candidate
Apple has distributed the Release Candidate (RC) build for iOS 26.1 to developers and public beta testers. This release follows the beta 4 version, which was made available approximately one week prior.
This update incorporates expanded support for Apple Intelligence, introducing functionality for eight additional languages. These include Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Turkish, Chinese (Traditional), and Vietnamese.
The iOS 26.1 RC also addresses several reported software defects. Noteworthy bug fixes include a resolution for instances of unexpected device sleep behavior while utilizing lock screen applications such as Calculator, Timer, and Notes. Furthermore, this update includes enhancements to AirDrop functionality, improved animation smoothness, and an updated navigation system within the Apple Music application.
The official public release of iOS 26.1 is anticipated in early November.
