OnePlus 15: Global Version Mirrors China, Boasts Giant Battery!

The global launch of the OnePlus 15 is scheduled for November 13th, one week from the present date. This device, mirroring its Chinese counterpart, is poised to introduce several innovative features.
The OnePlus 15 will feature a “1.5K” resolution LTPO OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, a configuration considered an industry first. This display is designed to deliver enhanced motion fluidity alongside high-resolution clarity. Key specifications include a peak brightness of 1,800 nits and a minimum brightness of 1 nit. Further enhancing the user experience, the display is TÜV Rheinland certified for eye care, incorporating both an Eye Comfort Reminder and an Eye Comfort Mode within gaming applications. The latter subtly adjusts color saturation to mitigate eye strain during extended gameplay.
The manufacturer claims the device will support 165fps gaming in titles such as Call of Duty: Mobile, Brawl Stars, and Clash of Clans. Furthermore, it is asserted that the device will offer a consistent 120fps gameplay experience with no frame drops across a range of other titles.
The device incorporates a 360-degree Cryo-Velocity Cooling System to manage thermal performance. This system includes a 5,731mm² 3D vapor chamber for efficient heat dissipation, an aerospace-derived aerogel insulation layer to reduce heat transfer, and a white graphite back cover designed for uniform thermal distribution.
Internally, the OnePlus 15 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 System-on-Chip (SoC) and paired with a dedicated touch response chip enabling a 3,200Hz touch sampling rate. The device also features a standalone Wi-Fi chip designed to maintain consistent network connectivity in congested environments.
The device retains the 7,300 mAh Silicon NanoStack battery from its Chinese counterpart, featuring 15% silicon content. This battery supports 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. The battery is engineered to retain at least 80% of its initial capacity after four years of usage and is designed to function reliably in temperatures as low as -20°C.
The OnePlus 15 will ship with OxygenOS 16, based on Android 16. The device is also rated IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K for dust and water resistance.
