Vivo X300: A Compact Flagship Review

Introduction

The vivo X300, a newly released device, has garnered attention as a compact flagship within a market saturated with larger form factors. This review will provide an in-depth analysis of the X300, focusing on its features, specifications, and performance. Notably, the X300 has already launched globally.

The X300 series represents a strategic evolution, positioning the regular X300 as a successor to the X200 Pro mini, rather than the fragmented X200 line. This approach aligns with a focus on delivering a refined, high-performance experience.

Key upgrades distinguishing the X300 include a powerful processing architecture, a 200MP primary camera, an updated 50MP front-facing camera with autofocus, and enhancements to battery life and charging capabilities.

The vivo X300 is currently available in select Asian and European markets. It features a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1216p resolution, supporting 10-bit color depth and a dynamic 120Hz refresh rate.

The device incorporates the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, developed in collaboration with vivo. This chipset includes new-generation ARM CPU cores and an ARM G1-Ultra GPU. Furthermore, the X300 utilizes a dual UFS 4.1 storage configuration to optimize performance.

The camera system includes a 200MP ISOCELL HPB-based main camera, a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP autofocus ultrawide lens. The front-facing camera features a 50MP sensor with autofocus. Vivo highlights features such as 4K60 Portrait Cinematic video recording and 4K120 HDR video capture.

Powering the X300 is a new generation Si/C battery (6,040mAh in Asia, 5,360mAh in Europe). The device supports 90W wired charging, 40W wireless charging, reverse wired charging, reverse wireless charging, and bypass charging.

Additional notable features include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a high-performance vibration motor, Wi-Fi 7 support, and the latest OriginOS 6, based on Android 16.
