Samsung’s Galaxy S26: On Track for Timely Launch Despite Concerns.

Recent developments suggest a potential shift in the anticipated launch schedule for Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series. Initial reports indicated a late February 2026 unveiling, followed by a March sales launch. However, updated information indicates a possible acceleration of this timeline.

Sources originating from South Korea propose that Samsung is targeting a late January 2026 launch for its Galaxy Unpacked event, with product availability anticipated to commence in early February. This adjustment, if confirmed, would represent a significant shift in the company’s typical flagship release cadence.

Furthermore, the report reinforces prior speculation regarding the composition of the Galaxy S26 lineup. The series is expected to encompass the standard S26, the S26 Plus, and the S26 Ultra models. Differentiating the models, the base and Plus variants are projected to incorporate the Exynos 2600 System-on-Chip (SoC), while the Ultra model is anticipated to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

Notably, the report confirms the discontinuation of the Galaxy S26 Edge model. This decision is attributed to disappointing sales performance of the Galaxy S25 Edge. Data indicates that in the initial three months following its launch, the S25 Edge achieved sales of approximately 1.3 million units. This figure represents a 74% decrease in sales compared to the S25 Plus model during the same period.
