Galaxy S26: Blazing Speed Ahead with Faster, New RAM.

Recent reports indicate that Samsung is poised to enhance the Random Access Memory (RAM) capabilities of its upcoming Galaxy S26 flagship series. Industry insider Ice Universe has disclosed that the entirety of the Galaxy S26 lineup will incorporate LPDDR5X RAM, achieving a data transfer rate of 10.7 Gbps. This represents a performance increase over the preceding generations.
Samsung has been progressively integrating LPDDR5X RAM within its S-series smartphones since the Galaxy S24. The Galaxy S25 series, for instance, utilized LPDDR5X RAM with speeds reaching up to 9.6 Gbps. The forthcoming Galaxy S26 series is expected to maintain a standard 12GB of RAM across all models, mirroring the configuration of the S25 series. However, the incorporation of the 10.7 Gbps LPDDR5X RAM signifies a performance improvement, representing a approximately 10% increase in data transfer speeds.

Samsung initially introduced its LPDDR5X RAM technology in 2022, offering an initial speed of 8.5 Gbps. This was subsequently upgraded in April 2024 to 9.6 Gbps, fabricated on a 12nm process. The anticipated RAM requirements for the Galaxy S26 series are projected to be fulfilled by Samsung’s proprietary chip manufacturing. The official launch of the Galaxy S26 series is currently scheduled for February 25.
