Pixel Phones Get Call Recording: Google’s Retro Feature Upgrade.
Google has released an updated version of its Phone application, introducing native call recording functionality for a broader range of Pixel smartphones globally. Specifically, the stable version 198+ of the Google Phone app now supports native call recording on older Pixel models operating on Android 14 and subsequent versions.
Users of older Pixel devices running the latest Google Phone application version can activate call recording within the app’s settings. This functionality is accessed by navigating to “Call Assist” and enabling “Call Recording.” Once activated, users can manually record calls directly from the dialer interface. Furthermore, the application provides options for automated call recording, including configurations for unknown numbers and specific contacts.
