Honor Magic8 Mini: Thin Design, Big Battery, Ultimate Power.

Recent reports suggest that Honor is developing a Magic8 Mini smartphone. This follows earlier rumors circulating since May, with preliminary specifications having been leaked last month. New details have emerged from a source known as Digital Chat Station on Weibo, providing further insight into the device’s design and features.
The battery capacity of the Honor Magic8 Mini is reported to be 5,500 mAh, a reduction from the initially speculated 6,000 mAh. This adjustment is attributed to Honor’s design goal of achieving a thin profile for the device. The company aims for a thickness under 7mm, with the possibility of even targeting under 6mm. This design choice necessitates a trade-off in battery capacity.

Despite the capacity reduction, the Magic8 Mini’s battery is projected to be 10% larger than the anticipated battery in the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. The device is expected to feature a 6.31-inch LTPO flat OLED screen with a “1.5K” resolution. The camera system is anticipated to include a 200MP main camera and a 50MP telephoto camera with a 1/1.5″ sensor. Furthermore, the smartphone is slated to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC.
While the exact launch date remains unconfirmed, the timeline suggests the unveiling is unlikely in the immediate future, with a potential release in early next year.
