For battery replacement, the process involves applying heat to the rear glass panel. This facilitates the opening of the device, akin to a book. Further disassembly requires removing a series of screws, thus fully separating the back panel.

Apple has released official repair part pricing for the iPhone 17. The replacement cost for the back glass panel is $159. A replacement battery is priced at $99; however, this is reduced to $51 if the original battery is returned to Apple. A screen replacement is available for $329. Additional component costs include $199 for the front-facing camera and Face ID sensor, $169 for the dual rear cameras, $67 for the earpiece and 5G mmWave antenna, and $67.08 for the Taptic Engine.
