Nubia Fold: Snapdragon 8, Massive Battery, Official Folding Phone Release.
The nubia Fold, nubia’s inaugural book-style foldable device, has been officially listed on the Y!mobile website in Japan, revealing its specifications and pricing. This announcement follows the recent release of renders showcasing the device alongside the nubia Flip3 clamshell.
The nubia Fold is equipped with an 8-inch main display, boasting a resolution of 2,480 x 2,200 pixels. The external cover screen measures 6.5 inches and features a resolution of 2,748 x 1,172 pixels. Both displays incorporate a 120Hz refresh rate. The main panel supports split-view modes for select applications.
Internally, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, coupled with 12GB of RAM and 265GB of storage. The operating system is Android 15. The device is also rated IP54 for ingress protection against dust and water.
The camera system includes a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro camera. For selfies, the nubia Fold incorporates two 20MP front-facing cameras, one situated on the main display and the other on the cover screen.
Powering the device is a 6,560mAh battery, supporting 55W charging. The nubia Fold is available in a single black color variant.
The device is priced at JPY 178,560, which is approximately $1,145 USD. The launch date in Japan is scheduled for December 4. Global availability, with potential expansion to additional markets, is anticipated in 2026.
