HTC to Re-Enter Smartphone Market with New Wildfire Series and Gaming Phone
Recent developments at the GITEX 2025 technology exhibition in Dubai indicate HTC’s forthcoming re-entry into the smartphone market. Several new models from the Wildfire series, including a device specifically designed for gaming, were showcased at the event.
Mobile phone analyst Yasuhiro Yamane shared photographic evidence of the unreleased HTC devices on Twitter. According to Yamane’s sources, the company is planning an official unveiling of these smartphones in the autumn of 2025.
One prominent device observed appears to be targeted at the gaming market. This phone features a distinctive design element with red accenting on the back panel. The device is powered by a Unisoc T765 chipset and incorporates a 5,600mAh battery. These specifications suggest a potential marketing strategy focusing on the budget-conscious gaming segment. Imaging capabilities include a 50MP primary rear camera and a 16MP front-facing camera. Further technical specifications remain undisclosed at this time.
The exhibition also featured other variants within the Wildfire series. Four distinct models were identified, each characterized by a unique rear camera module design. Furthermore, a ruggedized design smartphone was also on display.
