These prices represent the base drone configuration. The DJI Neo 2 is designed for both novice and experienced users, offering intuitive control options. Users can operate the drone via gesture recognition or through a dedicated smartphone application.
For more advanced control, various accessories and combo packs are available. The “Fly More Combo,” priced at $400/£350/€400, includes the RC-N3 remote controller, two additional batteries, and a charging hub capable of handling three batteries simultaneously. Furthermore, the “Motion Fly More Combo,” priced at $550/£510/€580, incorporates the DJI Goggles N3 and the RC Motion 3 controller, facilitating First-Person View (FPV) flight.
Key features and enhancements of the DJI Neo 2 include:
- Enhanced Sensor Suite: The Neo 2 incorporates an omnidirectional vision system coupled with forward-facing LiDAR, offering improved obstacle avoidance capabilities compared to the original Neo. This also enables the ActiveTrack function, including a new “Cycling” mode.
- Camera System Upgrades: The drone utilizes a 1/2″ sensor, coupled with a wider f/2.2 lens (compared to the f/2.6 lens of its predecessor). Additionally, the single-axis gimbal has been replaced with a 2-axis mechanism, providing enhanced stabilization.
- Video Recording Capabilities: The Neo 2 supports 4K video recording at 60 frames per second (fps) in horizontal mode and 2.7K video recording at 60 fps in vertical mode.
- Transmission Systems: The drone utilizes a Wi-Fi video transmission system, offering a range of up to 500 meters. Users have the option to upgrade to DJI’s O4 system, which extends the transmission range to 10 kilometers. The O4 transceiver is sold separately, but is included with the Fly More combos.
