Galaxy S26: RAM/Storage Details Emerge Before Launch Leaks.

Recent reports indicate the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26+ models will be available in two distinct memory and storage configurations. These configurations are projected to include options of 12GB of RAM with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is anticipated to be offered in three configurations across most markets: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 512GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 1TB storage. Notably, specific markets, including China, are expected to receive a configuration featuring 16GB of RAM with 1TB of storage. This differentiation is likely a strategic response to the prevalent competitive landscape in these regions, where local brands frequently equip their flagship devices with a minimum of 16GB of memory.

This strategic approach suggests Samsung’s intention to maintain a competitive position in key markets while optimizing costs in others. The company may rely on its brand recognition to offset the potential disadvantage of offering 12GB RAM variants in regions where competitor devices boast 16GB RAM configurations.

Further reports suggest the entire Galaxy S26 series will integrate LPDDR5X RAM, operating at a speed of 10.7Gbps. The anticipated launch timeframe for the S26 family is February.
