Ayaneo Announces the Next 2: A Windows Gaming Handheld Featuring Advanced Specifications
Ayaneo has introduced the Next 2, a new Windows-based gaming handheld designed for enhanced performance and user experience. This device features a significant 115Wh battery and an OLED display, positioning it as a competitor in the portable gaming market.
The Next 2 is equipped with the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chipset, engineered to support a thermal design power (TDP) of up to 85W. Its cooling system incorporates dual fans with rear exhaust ports, designed to maintain optimal operating temperatures during extended use.
The device boasts a 9.06-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz and a resolution of 2400 x 1504 pixels. The display is capable of achieving a peak brightness of 1,100 nits. Control inputs include hall effect joysticks and hall linear triggers, complemented by dual touchpads, an 8-way D-pad, and dual rear customizable buttons.
One of the Next 2’s key features is its 115Wh battery, which, according to the manufacturer, is the largest capacity available in a gaming handheld device.
Additional features of the Ayaneo Next 2 include a magnetic-levitation haptic motor, upgraded front-firing stereo speakers, a dual-stage trigger lock system, and an illuminated RGB badge. The handheld also incorporates AyaSpace, Ayaneo’s custom software solution, operating within the Windows environment.
Pricing, full specifications, and availability details for the Ayaneo Next 2 are yet to be released. The device is expected to be available in Black and White color options.
