HMD Fusion 2: Specs Leak – Promising Updates for New Phone.

HMD Global, following the September 2023 launch of the HMD Fusion and its accompanying Fusion Outfits, has not yet officially announced the successor, the HMD Fusion 2. However, information regarding the device’s specifications has surfaced via an X account, providing insights into its anticipated features.

Preliminary specifications indicate that the HMD Fusion 2 will incorporate the newly announced Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 System-on-Chip (SoC). The device is expected to feature a 6.58-inch, 120Hz FullHD+ OLED display. The camera system is projected to include a 108MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide camera.

Additional features anticipated in the HMD Fusion 2 include Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities, Bluetooth 5.3 support, dual speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, and POGO Pin 2.0 connectivity.

Accompanying the launch of the Fusion 2 will be a new generation of “Smart Outfits,” designated as Smart Outfits Gen 2. These accessories will reportedly include a range of specialized modules, such as: a Casual Outfit with a kickstand, Wireless Charge Outfit, Rugged Outfit, Gaming Outfit, Camera Grip Outfit, Flashy Outfit, Speaker Outfit, QR and Barcode Scanner Outfit, and a Smart Projector Outfit.

It is important to note that the source indicates a lack of cross-compatibility between the upcoming Smart Outfits Gen 2 and the previously released generation of Fusion Outfits.
