HMD Global Launches Touch 4G in India, Realme Unveils Game of Thrones Edition, and vivo V60e Specifications Detailed

HMD Global has introduced the Touch 4G, a device positioned as a hybrid between a smartphone and a feature phone, in the Indian market. This device, described as a reincarnation of the Nokia Asha series, leverages cloud-hosted browser applications to offer users enhanced functionality. The Touch 4G operates on a custom, lightweight real-time operating system (RTOS) known as RTOS Touch. Available in Cyan and Dark Blue color options, the Touch 4G is priced at INR 3,999 (approximately $45) and is currently available for purchase and immediate shipment from HMD India.

Realme has released the Realme 15 Pro Game of Thrones Limited Edition. This special edition device features design elements inspired by HBO’s “Game of Thrones” series, including a heat-sensitive back panel that changes color with temperature fluctuations. The Realme 15 Pro Game of Thrones Limited Edition, featuring 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, is priced at INR 44,999 (approximately $510), with a limited production run of 5,000 units globally.

vivo has officially launched the V60e smartphone. The device features a 200MP primary camera, complemented by an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP front-facing camera. The V60e is equipped with a 6,500mAh battery, a MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor, and a 6.77-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display. The base model, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, is priced at INR 29,999 (approximately $340) and is available starting October 10th.

JEDEC Announces UFS 5.0 Storage Standard

The Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC) has announced the UFS 5.0 storage standard, which is slated to enter production soon. This new standard is designed to improve AI performance significantly. UFS 5.0 is expected to nearly double sequential performance, providing a bandwidth of 10.8 GB/s, compared to the 5.8 GB/s offered by the UFS 4.0 and 4.1 standards. The specific timeframe for the integration of UFS 5.0 in consumer devices is yet to be disclosed.

OnePlus 15 and Realme GT 8 Pro Camera Specifications Revealed

Information regarding the camera configurations of the forthcoming OnePlus 15 and Realme GT 8 Pro has been released. The OnePlus 15 is rumored to incorporate a 1/1.5″ type sensor for its primary camera, specifically the Sony Lytia LYT-700. The periscope telephoto camera is expected to utilize the 1/2.76″ type Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor, and the ultrawide camera may feature the 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor.

The Realme GT 8 Pro is anticipated to share the same primary camera as the OnePlus 15, featuring the 1/1.5″ type Sony Lytia LYT-700 sensor. Its periscope telephoto camera is expected to have a 200 MP resolution and utilize the 1/1.56″ type Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensor.
