Following the recent launch of the Honor Magic8 and Magic8 Pro in China, industry reports suggest the company is developing the Magic8 Ultra. The anticipated release is projected for early next year.
The Honor Magic8 Ultra is rumored to incorporate the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 System-on-Chip (SoC). It is expected to feature a quad-curved 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display with a “1.5K” resolution. The device is also reported to integrate an ultrasonic embedded fingerprint sensor and support for 3D face recognition for enhanced security.

Regarding the camera system, the primary camera is anticipated to utilize a 50MP sensor from OmniVision, specifically the OV50R, designed for ultra-high dynamic range capabilities. Furthermore, the Magic8 Ultra is speculated to include an updated periscope telephoto camera, with a possible resolution of 200MP, based on prior reports.
The battery capacity of the Magic8 Ultra is expected to be within the range of 7,000 mAh to 7,999 mAh. Further specifications are anticipated to emerge as the device’s release date approaches.
