Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3: Lossless Audio and Supreme Noise Cancellation Arrive.

Huawei Launches New Product Suite, Including Enhanced FreeBuds Pro 5 Earbuds

Huawei has recently expanded its product portfolio with several new offerings, encompassing the Mate 80 series smartphones, the Mate X7 foldable device, and the MatePad Edge tablet. Accompanying these releases is the latest iteration of the company’s True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, the FreeBuds Pro 5.

The Huawei FreeBuds Pro 5 represent a premium audio solution, distinguished by advanced Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) capabilities and support for lossless audio transmission. These earbuds are engineered with a custom Kirin A3 chipset and a dual-driver configuration.

Each earbud incorporates an ultra-linear dual-magnetic bass driver, complemented by a micro-planar tweeter. This configuration, coupled with NearLink E2.0 technology and the custom Kirin A3 chipset, enables lossless audio streaming at a data rate of up to 4.6 Mbps.

The FreeBuds Pro 5 are compatible with a range of audio codecs, including AAC, SBC, LDAC, and L2HC. They feature an in-ear, stem-style design and are supplied with silicone eartips. The accompanying charging case presents a pill-shaped form factor.

Regarding connectivity and durability, the earbuds support Bluetooth 6.0 and multi-device pairing. The charging case is rated IP54 for dust and water resistance, while the earbuds themselves possess an IP57 rating.

Battery performance is estimated to provide up to 8 hours of continuous playback on a single charge with ANC disabled, extending to 33 hours when utilizing the charging case. With ANC enabled, the earbuds are projected to offer up to 5 hours of listening time, and up to 22 hours with the case.
