Following the introduction of the “Liquid Glass” user interface and new feature enhancements in iOS 26, Apple is reportedly shifting its focus for the upcoming iOS 27 update. This iteration is projected to prioritize performance optimization and the integration of artificial intelligence capabilities.
Industry analyst Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has indicated that iOS 27 will emphasize “quality improvements and artificial intelligence features.” This includes a concerted effort by Apple to address bug fixes, enhance core system performance, and augment overall platform stability.
Beyond performance enhancements, Apple intends to incorporate advanced AI functionalities into iOS 27. These developments, according to Gurman, will extend AI integration across a broader range of applications and encompass a “health-focused” AI agent, alongside AI-powered web search capabilities. Furthermore, Apple is reportedly developing a comprehensive chatbot, codenamed “Veritas,” potentially designed to augment the capabilities of Siri.

The improvements and new features introduced in iOS 27 are expected to be mirrored in the forthcoming macOS 27 update. The initial beta releases of both iOS 27 and macOS 27 are anticipated to become available in June of the following year.
