iPhone 20 Series: Coming in 2027, Apple’s Futuristic Phone Unveiled.

Apple to Implement Significant iPhone Redesign and Naming Strategy for 20th Anniversary in 2027
Apple is reportedly planning a major design overhaul and corresponding naming convention adjustments for the iPhone in 2027, coinciding with the device’s 20th anniversary. According to insights from Omdia senior researcher Heo Moo-yeol, Apple is anticipated to bypass the numerical designation of “iPhone 19,” opting instead for the “iPhone 20” series.
This strategic nomenclature shift echoes the approach taken in 2017 with the iPhone X, which was introduced on the tenth anniversary and marked a substantial redesign that continues to influence the current iPhone aesthetic. The forthcoming iPhone 20 series is poised to represent another significant inflection point in the device’s design evolution. Current reports suggest the implementation of a bezel-less display, complemented by contoured lines, potentially creating the illusion of a single, seamless glass surface when viewed from the front.
Furthermore, the report indicates potential adjustments to the iPhone product lineup in the intervening years. Apple may omit the standard “iPhone 18” model in the following year, focusing on the “Air” and “Pro” variants, alongside the anticipated iPhone Fold. The subsequent year, the iPhone 20 series will be introduced, comprising the standard model, which is expected to launch in the first half of the year in conjunction with an “iPhone 18e” variant. The redesigned iPhone 20 Pro, Air, and Fold 2 models are projected to be unveiled at a separate event in the fall.
