iQOO Announces iQOO 15: A Flagship Gaming Phone with Cutting-Edge Technology
iQOO has launched its latest flagship gaming smartphone, the iQOO 15, in the Chinese market. This device represents a significant advancement over its predecessor, the iQOO 13, incorporating the newly released Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a suite of upgraded features.
The iQOO 15 boasts a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED LTPO display. Key specifications of the display include a 2K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits. The display further supports 2160Hz PWM and DC Dimming technologies, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and integrates an underscreen ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
At the core of the iQOO 15 is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 system-on-chip (SoC), complemented by the Q3 gaming chip. The device is configurable with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and offers up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The iQOO 15 operates on OriginOS 6, based on Android 16.
The rear camera system comprises a triple-lens configuration. The primary camera utilizes a 50MP Sony IMX921 sensor (1/1.56-inch) with optical image stabilization (OIS). The telephoto lens is a 50MP periscope unit, employing the Sony IMX882 sensor and providing 3x optical zoom. An additional 50MP ultrawide camera completes the rear camera array.
For front-facing photography and video conferencing, the iQOO 15 incorporates a 32MP camera. Furthermore, the device features an RGB LED strip encircling the camera module.
Powering the iQOO 15 is a 7,000mAh single-cell silicon-carbon battery. The device supports 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. Additional features include smart bypass charging and reverse charging capabilities.
The iQOO 15 incorporates advanced thermal management with a 14,000mm² vapor chamber. Connectivity features include dual speakers, an IP68+IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and dual-band GPS.
