The Lava Agni 4: A Detailed Specification Overview

Lava International has launched the Agni 4 smartphone in the Indian market. This device features several notable specifications, including a focus on performance, display quality, and enhanced software capabilities.

Performance and Hardware:
The Agni 4 is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 system-on-chip (SoC), coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Thermal management is addressed via an integrated vapor chamber cooling system. The device incorporates a robust metal frame.

Display:
The phone features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1.5K. Maximum brightness peaks at 2,400 nits. The device also incorporates an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.

Camera System:
The rear camera system comprises a dual-camera setup. The primary sensor is a 50MP unit with optical image stabilization (OIS), complemented by an 8MP ultrawide lens. The front-facing camera is a 50MP sensor. All three cameras support 4K video recording at 60 frames per second.

Battery and Software:
Powering the Agni 4 is a 5,000mAh battery supporting 66W wired charging. The device operates on Android 15, with Lava committing to three years of operating system updates and four years of security patches.

Artificial Intelligence Integration:
A key feature of the Agni 4 is the integrated Vayu AI, a proprietary system-level AI assistant described by the manufacturer as possessing “emotional awareness.” The device also supports Google’s Circle to Search functionality and incorporates other AI-driven features.

Connectivity and Additional Features:
Additional specifications include an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, stereo speakers, an infrared sensor, and dual-SIM support.

Availability and Pricing:
The Lava Agni 4 will be available in Lunar Mist and Phantom Black color options. A single variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will be offered at a price of INR 24,999 (approximately $280 USD). Sales in India are scheduled to commence on November 25th.
