The Honor Watch X5, recently launched in China alongside the Honor 500 series, represents Honor’s latest entry into the smartwatch market. This device features a suite of functionalities tailored for fitness tracking and everyday use, highlighted by a vibrant AMOLED display and extensive sport mode support.
The Watch X5 incorporates a 1.97-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 390 x 450 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by 2.5D curved glass. The smartwatch’s construction utilizes an aluminum alloy for the case and plastic for the rear, resulting in a weight of 29 grams without the strap. Durability is reinforced by IP68 and 5ATM ratings, indicating resistance to dust, water, and pressure. Navigation is facilitated by a single button with an integrated rotating crown.
Functionality includes a comprehensive suite of sensors, featuring a PPG heart rate sensor to enable activity tracking, sleep monitoring, and women’s health tracking. The device supports over 120 sport modes and incorporates built-in GPS for precise location tracking during outdoor activities.
Connectivity is provided via Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC. The watch utilizes a magnetic port for charging. Additional features include an Always-On Display (AOD) mode, Bluetooth calling capabilities, remote camera shutter functionality, and a Do Not Disturb mode.
Battery life is a key feature of the Watch X5. Honor claims the device can achieve up to 14 days of battery life under typical usage scenarios and up to 5 days with the AOD function activated. The smartwatch is also equipped with a microphone and speaker.
Compatibility extends to both Android (version 9.0 or higher) and iOS (version 13 or later) devices. The Honor Watch X5 is available with either a black or white silicone strap.
