Motorola is poised to enter the burgeoning ultra-thin smartphone market with the forthcoming Edge 70, designated as the X70 Air in China. Following the lead of competitors such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, Tecno Spark Slim and Pova Slim, and Apple iPhone Air, Motorola’s Edge 70 is generating anticipation within the industry.
Confirmation of the international launch date for the Edge 70 has now been established. Motorola’s official Polish website has initiated a teaser campaign, promising a series of incremental reveals every Wednesday leading up to the official launch on November 5th.
Initial specifications have been disclosed, offering insight into the device’s capabilities. The Edge 70 will incorporate a 4,800 mAh battery, positioning it favorably against the anticipated battery capacities of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and the iPhone Air, while being slightly less than the Tecno devices. Furthermore, the device will support 68W wired charging.
Pricing details have emerged from Italian retailers, with pre-release listings indicating a price range between €709 and €801.91 for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration. These listings showcase a Bronze Green color variant, potentially branded as Pantone Bronze Green in collaboration with Pantone.
Based on available leaks, the Edge 70 is expected to feature a profile under 6mm in thickness. Additional specifications include a 50 MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), an ultrawide lens with a 120-degree field of view, and stereo speakers enhanced by Dolby Atmos technology.
