The Nubia Z80 Ultra: Global Availability and Feature Overview
The Nubia Z80 Ultra, initially launched in China on October 22nd, is now available for purchase in global markets, including the European Union and the United Kingdom. This flagship smartphone incorporates a comprehensive suite of advanced features and technologies.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 System-on-Chip (SoC) and incorporates a substantial 7,200mAh battery. The front of the Z80 Ultra features a notchless design, achieved through the integration of an under-display camera. The display specifications include a 6.85-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, and a resolution of 1,216 x 2,688 pixels. The screen is characterized by slim bezels and integrates a 16MP under-display camera for front-facing imaging and video calls.
The rear camera system of the Z80 Ultra showcases a redesigned module. It comprises a triple-camera setup, including a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 64MP telephoto periscope camera with 3x optical zoom capabilities.
Power management is facilitated by the 7,200mAh Si/C battery, supporting both 90W wired and 80W wireless charging. Additional features include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a dedicated camera button, Near Field Communication (NFC) functionality, Bluetooth 6.0, a USB-C 3.2 (Gen 1) port, and Wi-Fi 7. The device also integrates dual speakers with DTS:X Ultra support and five microphones.
The Nubia Z80 Ultra operates on MyOS and is certified with IP68/IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. A customizable Slide key provides added functionality. The smartphone is offered in Black, White, and Starry Night color options.
