Nothing Smartphones: Call Recording Now Simple, One-Button Solution.

Nothing has implemented an update to its Essential Space software, introducing audio call recording functionality to select smartphone models.

Following this update, users of compatible Nothing devices can initiate call recording via two methods: a long-press action on the Essential Key or through selection of the “Start recording” option within the call notification. Recorded audio files will be saved within the Essential Space application post-call termination.

The software deployment is proceeding automatically, as confirmed by Nothing, indicating a server-side update implementation and negating the requirement for manual user intervention.

Supported Devices and Geographical Availability

The call recording feature is currently available on three Nothing smartphone models: Nothing Phone (3), Nothing Phone (3a), and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. The initial rollout is restricted to eight countries: India, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and South Korea. Expansion to additional geographical regions is anticipated in subsequent updates.

Affected Models:

Nothing Phone (3) 5G

Nothing Phone (3a)

Nothing Phone (3a) Pro
