OnePlus Launches Ace 6T Featuring Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 in China
OnePlus has officially unveiled the Ace 6T in the Chinese market. This device marks the inaugural smartphone to incorporate the newly announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 system-on-chip (SoC). The Ace 6T is currently available for pre-order in China and is anticipated to be released globally as the OnePlus 15R.
The Ace 6T is equipped with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display, supporting a variable refresh rate of up to 165Hz. The display achieves a peak brightness of 1,800 nits in high brightness mode and features a 1.5K resolution. The panel incorporates DC dimming technology, supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and is protected by Oppo Crystal Shield Glass.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, the device also integrates a self-developed G2 network chip and a dedicated display chip. Configuration options include up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage and 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
The Ace 6T incorporates an advanced vapor chamber cooling system designed for improved thermal management compared to prior models. OnePlus claims the phone supports frame rates of 165 frames per second (FPS) in various games, with native support for 144 FPS in “Honor of Kings”.
The rear camera system comprises a dual-camera setup featuring a 50MP Sony IMX906 main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The front-facing camera is a 16MP unit, designed for selfies and video conferencing.
A substantial 8,300mAh battery powers the Ace 6T, supporting 100W wired fast charging.
Additional specifications include an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, IP66/68/69/69K ingress protection ratings, stereo speakers, an infrared sensor, Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, a USB-C 2.0 port, and Wi-Fi 7 compatibility. The device operates on ColorOS 16, based on Android 16.
The Ace 6T is available in Phantom Green, Electric Purple, and Flash Black color options. A special edition, the Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayaka Limited Edition, features a Snowy Blue color scheme and includes a collector’s box with exclusive accessories.
