Oppo Introduces Reno15 and Reno15 Pro Smartphones in China
Oppo has announced the launch of the Reno15 and Reno15 Pro smartphones in the Chinese market. Both devices are equipped with a triple-camera rear setup and are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 system-on-chip (SoC).
Reno15: Display and Performance
The Reno15 features a 6.3-inch AMOLED display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2640 x 1216 pixels. The display achieves a peak brightness of 3,600 nits and incorporates an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Camera Capabilities
The rear camera system of the Reno15 comprises a 200MP primary sensor with a 1/1.56-inch size and optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. A 50MP front-facing camera with autofocus is included for selfies.
Additional Features
The handset is powered by a 6,200mAh battery supporting 80W wired charging. Additional features include a metal frame, IP66, IP68, and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.
Reno15 Pro: Display, Battery, and Enhancements
The Reno15 Pro features a larger 6.78-inch flat display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a 1.5K resolution. Similar to the Reno15, it offers a peak brightness of 3,600 nits and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Camera and Power
The Reno15 Pro retains the same triple rear camera system and 50MP front-facing camera as the standard Reno15. It incorporates a 6,500mAh battery with support for both 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Weight and Other Specifications
Other specifications mirror the Reno15, although the Reno15 Pro is slightly heavier, weighing 205g compared to the 188g of the non-Pro model.
Pricing and Availability
The Reno15 is available in Aurora Blue, Canele Brown, and Starlight color options. Pricing begins at CNY 2,999 (approximately $425) for the 12GB/256GB configuration. Additional configurations include 12GB/512GB and 16GB/256GB models, both priced at CNY 3,299 (approximately $465). A 16GB/512GB variant is priced at CNY 3,599 (approximately $505), with a 16GB/1TB option available for CNY 3,999 (approximately $565).
The Reno15 Pro is offered in Canele Brown, Honey Gold, and Starlight colors. Prices are as follows: CNY 3,699 (approximately $520) for the 12GB/256GB model, CNY 3,999 (approximately $565) for the 12GB/512GB version, and CNY 4,299 (approximately $605) for the 16GB/512GB model. A 16GB/1TB configuration is available for CNY 4,799 (approximately $675). Both devices are currently available for pre-order through Oppo’s official online store in China, with sales commencing on November 21.
