Pixel 11: MediaTek Modem Rumored, Bringing Big Changes.

Rumored MediaTek Modem Integration in Google Pixel 11 Series
Industry speculation suggests a potential shift in modem technology for the upcoming Google Pixel 11 series. Initially anticipated for the Pixel 10 devices in December 2024, the transition from the existing Samsung-manufactured Exynos modem did not materialize.
Recent reports indicate that the Pixel 11 devices, projected for release next year, may incorporate a MediaTek modem. The specific model under consideration is the M90, intended to be integrated with Google’s Tensor G6 System-on-Chip (SoC).

It is crucial to approach this information with a degree of caution. Previous rumors regarding a switch to MediaTek modems have not been substantiated.
If realized, the integration of the M90 modem could significantly impact the connectivity capabilities of the Pixel 11 phones. The M90, unveiled in February, is specified to support peak downlink performance of up to 12 Gbps. It conforms to 3GPP Release 17 and 18 standards and offers comprehensive 5G compatibility, including sub-6 GHz and mmWave technologies. The M90 also features 5G dual SIM dual-active functionality and integrated satellite connectivity, potentially offering enhanced features for the next generation of Google’s flagship devices. The validity of this rumor remains to be confirmed.
