Poco Pad M1: Certified, Familiar Design Under a Different Moniker.

The anticipated launch of a new tablet from Poco is approaching, as evidenced by recent certifications and listings. Following the initial release of the Poco Pad in May 2024, the Poco Pad M1 has been certified by the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) in the United Arab Emirates and has also appeared in the Google Play Console.

The Google Play Console listing indicates that the Poco Pad M1 is designed to be compatible with a keyboard and the “Poco Focus Pen” stylus. The availability and pricing of these accessories are yet to be confirmed, specifically whether they will be bundled with the tablet or offered as separate purchases.

Preliminary information suggests the Poco Pad M1 may be a rebranded device, a strategy consistent with the brand’s established practices. Specifically, the Poco Pad M1 is speculated to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Pad 2 Pro, which was officially announced in the preceding month.

Should this speculation prove accurate, the Poco Pad M1 is expected to feature a 12.1-inch LCD screen with a peak brightness of 600 nits. The device would be powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 System-on-Chip (SoC), accompanied by either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and internal storage options of 128GB or 256GB. It is anticipated to include dual 8-megapixel cameras, one on the front and one on the rear, and would be equipped with a 12,000 mAh battery. Charging capabilities would be supported through 33W wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging functionality.
