Pre-order Blitz: OnePlus 15 vs. Price Drops for Vivo & Xiaomi.

Competitive Analysis of Recent Smartphone Releases
The forthcoming Black Friday shopping season has prompted a shift in promotional strategies, with numerous brands and retailers extending their deals throughout the month of November. This period presents a dynamic landscape for consumers and industry professionals alike, offering opportunities to acquire the latest technological advancements.
OnePlus has recently launched the OnePlus 15 globally. In the European market, the base 12/256GB variant is priced €50 lower than the launch price of the OnePlus 13. However, the upgrade to the 16/512GB configuration is now €50 more expensive. Initial analyses suggest that while the device showcases strong processing capabilities, its camera hardware may not represent a significant advancement over its predecessor. A detailed review is available for further in-depth analysis. The OnePlus 15 is scheduled for release on November 20th, 2025.
The OnePlus 15 faces immediate competition from several prominent devices. The vivo X300 Pro utilizes the Dimensity 9500 chipset, presenting an alternative to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The X300 Pro features enhanced camera specifications, including a 50MP main sensor (1/1.28″) and a 3.5x 85mm periscope lens supported by a 200MP sensor (1/1.4″). However, European models of the X300 Pro are equipped with a 5,440mAh battery, a reduction from the 6,510mAh battery found in Chinese versions. Comparatively, the European OnePlus 15 maintains a 7,300mAh battery, resulting in a substantially higher Active use score (23:07 hours versus 12:45 hours for the X300 Pro). The vivo X300 Pro, despite a €150 promotional coupon, is positioned at a higher price point.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, having been available for some time, is now priced at or below the OnePlus 15. This device is powered by the previous-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. It features a 200MP main sensor (1/1.3″) but incorporates a 50MP sensor (1/2.52″) for its 5x/111mm periscope lens. The S25 Ultra’s 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging is less competitive than the vivo and OnePlus offerings, which support 90W and 120W wired charging, and 40W and 50W wireless charging, respectively.
The Xiaomi 15T Pro, positioned as a more budget-friendly flagship, utilizes the Dimensity 9400+ processor. Although less powerful than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the 15T Pro’s camera setup is better positioned to compete with the OnePlus 15 than its predecessor. Its 5,500mAh battery, coupled with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, offers a competitive battery life, although it does not match that of the OnePlus 15. The 15T Pro is priced €240 lower than the OnePlus 15.
The vivo X300, a smaller form factor device with a 6.31″ display, has been introduced. It features a 5,360mAh battery and is powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset. Its camera system includes a 200MP main sensor (1/1.4″), a 50MP 3x/70mm periscope lens, and a 50MP 119° ultra-wide lens. The S25, in a comparable size class, offers a 4,000mAh battery. Its Active use score is significantly lower than that of the X300 (13:09 hours vs. 17:31 hours). The S25’s 50MP main sensor (1/1.56″) and 10MP 3x/67mm telephoto camera are less advanced than the vivo X300’s counterparts.
The Google Pixel 10 introduces a telephoto camera, although its 10.8MP resolution is relatively modest. The main camera’s 48MP sensor (1/2.0″) represents a downgrade from the previous model. The Tensor G5 chipset offers modest performance improvements, and the device’s 4,970mAh battery provides a shorter usage duration than the S25 (12:08 hours Active use score). The Pixel 10 is priced higher than the Galaxy S25, and the Pixel 10 Pro commands an even greater premium. The Pixel 10 Pro incorporates a 50MP main camera sensor (1/1.31″) and a 48MP 5x/113mm telephoto camera.
The Google Pixel 9 ships with a complimentary pair of Pixel Buds. The Pixel 9 features a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.31″ sensor and a 48MP ultra-wide lens. The Google Pixel 9a is available at a lower price point and is positioned as a 6.3″ class device for budget-conscious consumers.
