Following Motorola’s recent introduction of the X70 Air in China, slated for international release as the Edge 70, Huawei is poised to enter the slim smartphone market. The forthcoming Mate 70 Air, anticipated to be officially unveiled next month, has already surfaced in an online listing last week.
Today, promotional materials showcasing the device’s design have been disseminated. An apparent offline poster, though subject to distortion in its photographed state, offers an initial visual representation of the handset.
Early specifications for the Mate 70 Air suggest a profile exceeding 6mm in thickness. The device is rumored to incorporate a 6.9-inch “1.5K” display, up to 16GB of RAM, and a primary camera featuring a 1/1.3″ type sensor. Furthermore, the design is expected to include a physical SIM card slot. Upon its release, the Mate 70 Air will operate on HarmonyOS 5.1 and will be offered in a selection of black, white, and gold color options.
