Realme GT 8 Series Specifications Unveiled Ahead of China Launch
Ahead of its forthcoming launch in China, Realme has released preliminary specifications for the Realme GT 8 series, with a focus on the base model, the Realme GT 8. This announcement follows the recent unveiling of key features for the GT 8 Pro variant.
The Realme GT 8 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite system-on-a-chip (SoC), complemented by the R1 gaming chip for enhanced performance. The device will incorporate a flat 2K resolution display with a 144Hz refresh rate, mirroring the specifications of the GT 8 Pro. Furthermore, the GT 8 will feature an in-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
The rear camera system will utilize a Ricoh GR triple-camera configuration. This setup will include a 50MP periscope telephoto unit, providing 3.5x optical zoom capabilities. It is noteworthy that the GT 8 will not feature the interchangeable camera housing design present in the Pro model.
Powering the device will be a 7,000mAh battery. Charging specifications have not yet been disclosed by Realme. The Realme GT 8 will ship with Android 16-based realme UI 7, and is confirmed to receive five years of operating system updates and security patches.
The construction of the GT 8 will utilize a glass and metal build and will be rated for IP69+IP68+IP66 dust and water resistance. Color options will include White, Navy Blue, and Green.
