A pre-release beta program is currently underway for ColorOS 16 and OxygenOS 16, both iterations of Android 16, developed by Oppo and OnePlus, respectively. Access to this program is restricted through an eligibility assessment.
Interested users can attempt to enroll in the beta program by navigating to their device’s Settings menu, then selecting “System & update” followed by “Software Update”. Within the Software Update settings, tapping the three-dot menu and selecting “Beta Program” initiates the eligibility process.
Device compatibility is currently limited to the following models: OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13R, OnePlus 13s, OnePlus Open, OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, Oppo Find X8, and Oppo Find X8 Pro. Geographical limitations may also apply, restricting availability in certain regions.
Participants are cautioned that beta software inherently contains bugs and potential functional issues. It is therefore strongly recommended that this beta program not be installed on a primary device used for critical daily operations.
The official unveiling of ColorOS 16 is scheduled for October 15, while OxygenOS 16 will be revealed on October 16. Further announcements regarding the stable release rollout are anticipated on these respective dates. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
