The Redmi K Series, known for its “flagship killer” devices, has released its latest iteration, the K90 Pro Max. This model features significant upgrades, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile platform, a substantial 7,560mAh silicon-carbon battery, and an advanced audio system.
The K90 Pro Max incorporates a dual-speaker configuration. One unit is situated near the earpiece, and another is located at the bottom next to the USB-C port. A dedicated woofer is also present on the rear panel, adjacent to the camera array, creating a 2.1-channel audio setup. This system is tuned by Bose, promising enhanced bass response and detailed sound reproduction.
The device’s camera system includes a primary 50MP sensor, a periscope telephoto lens, and an ultrawide lens. The primary camera utilizes a 1/1.31″ Light Fusion 950 sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), offering a 23mm equivalent focal length and a 13.5EV dynamic range. The periscope telephoto lens provides a 5x optical zoom with a 115mm equivalent focal length, while the ultrawide lens offers an 18mm equivalent focal length with a 102-degree field of view.
The K90 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, supporting Dolby Vision and offering a peak brightness of 2500 nits. The device incorporates an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner and is protected by Crystal Glass.
The K90 Pro Max operates on HyperOS 3, based on Android 16. It is rated IP68 for ingress protection. The 7,560mAh silicon-carbon battery supports 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 22.5W reverse wireless charging.
Available color options include black and white variants with a textured matte glass finish, as well as a blue option featuring a denim-like fabric on the back panel. The base model, equipped with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, is priced at CNY 3,999 (approximately $561). Higher-end configurations include 12GB/512GB at CNY 4,499 ($631), 16GB/512GB at CNY 4,799 ($673), and a top-tier model with 16GB/1TB storage at CNY 5,299 ($743). A Champion Edition, developed in partnership with Lamborghini Automobili Racing Team and featuring 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, is available for CNY 5,499 ($771).
