Samsung Soars: Strong Q3 Fueled by Chips and Memory Powerhouse.

Samsung Electronics announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2025. Consolidated revenue reached KRW 86.1 trillion (approximately €51.66 billion), with an operating profit of KRW 12.2 trillion (approximately €7.32 billion). This represents a 15.4% increase in revenue compared to the second quarter of the same year.

The Device Solutions division, encompassing semiconductors, chips, and memory, significantly contributed to the overall profitability, generating KRW 7.0 trillion (approximately €4.2 billion), which constitutes more than half of the total operating profit.

The memory business experienced record-breaking sales, driven by robust demand for High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM3E) and server Solid State Drives (SSDs). Looking ahead, Samsung intends to prioritize the mass production of next-generation HBM4 memory in 2026. Samsung Foundry will concentrate on increasing the production volume of advanced 2-nanometer Gate-All-Around (GAA) nodes in the coming year.

Samsung's Q3 was great - semiconductor and memory divisions doing heavy lifting

The mobile communications division, driven by the success of the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7, also contributed positively to the overall performance, albeit to a lesser extent than the semiconductor segment.

Conversely, the display and appliances segment reported an operating loss despite achieving substantial revenue.
