Samsung Unveils China-Exclusive W26 Smartphone
Samsung has officially launched the W26, a China-exclusive device positioned as a variant of the Galaxy Z Fold series. Similar to previous iterations of the W series, the W26 features cosmetic enhancements and a premium unboxing experience.
Key hardware modifications include the integration of satellite connectivity. This feature enables users in China to utilize the Tiantong satellite system for voice calls and messaging in environments lacking conventional network infrastructure. Furthermore, the W26 is equipped with 16GB of RAM as a standard configuration, available across both the 512GB and 1TB storage models.
The W26’s enhanced retail package includes a color-coordinated Kevlar case, a 25W charger, a USB-C cable, and a gift card valued at CNY 1,000.
The W26 is priced at a premium. The 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant is available for CNY 16,999, equivalent to approximately $2,390. The higher-end model, featuring 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, is priced at CNY 18,999, or approximately $2,670.
The Samsung W26 is currently available for pre-order through Samsung and China Telecom.
