vivo is anticipated to launch the S50 series in the Chinese market next month. Following the confirmation last week that the S50 Pro mini will incorporate the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 System-on-Chip (SoC), vivo has now disclosed the device’s design and several critical specifications.
vivo’s Han Boxiao presented the S50 Pro mini’s design on the social media platform Weibo. The device features a horizontally oriented, pill-shaped rear camera module, exhibiting a design aesthetic similar to the recently introduced Honor 500 series and the iPhone Air.
The vivo S50 Pro mini’s camera system will comprise a triple rear camera arrangement, including a Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto unit. A 50MP sensor will be implemented for front-facing photography.
The device will be equipped with a 6.31-inch flat display and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner 2.0. Furthermore, the S50 Pro mini will be certified with IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.
vivo also revealed that the S50 Pro mini will be powered by a 6,500mAh battery, supporting 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. Additional specifications include an X-axis linear motor and UFS 4.1 storage.
