Snapdragon X2 Elite: Benchmark Blitz Crushes Intel, AMD Titans!

Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme Benchmarks Showcase Significant Performance Gains

Initial benchmark results for the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme, a new processor from Qualcomm, indicate substantial performance improvements over existing solutions from both AMD and Intel. These early tests, conducted under controlled conditions, suggest that the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme significantly outperforms competing processors in several key metrics.

The following results, obtained primarily from Geekbench 6.5, along with supplementary data from PCWorld, illustrate the performance of the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme (X2E-96-100) against the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V. While some data originates from Geekbench 6.1, the results remain comparable. In addition, the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme demonstrated superior performance in Cinebench 2024 benchmarks.

The Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme features an 18-core CPU configuration. This configuration comprises 12 Prime cores operating at 4.4 GHz (boosting to 5.0 GHz under optimal thermal conditions) and six Performance cores clocked at 3.6 GHz (without boost functionality). The test devices utilized 48GB of DDR5X RAM. The X2 Elite Extreme supports both soldered and external RAM options, while other Elite models only utilize external RAM (up to 128GB). The Extreme chip incorporates a 192-bit memory interface, offering a bandwidth of 228 GB/s, exceeding the 128-bit buses (152GB/s) found in the other Elite models.

GPU performance was also assessed. The Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme integrates an Adreno X2-90 GPU with a maximum clock speed of 1.85 GHz. In the 3DMark Steel Nomad Light benchmark, the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme’s GPU performance exceeded that of both Intel’s integrated Arc 140V GPU and AMD’s Radeon 890M GPU by 80%. Relative to its predecessor, the GPU performance exhibits a 2.6x improvement.
