Snapp Warns of Digital Economy Collapse Amidst Internet Blackout

Following nearly two weeks of severe internet disruptions and outages, the Snapp Group has issued a statement warning of the grave and irreversible consequences of the current situation. The tech giant announced that the prolonged internet blackout threatens to completely destroy the results of over a decade of effort and investment in developing online business in Iran.
Threat to Livelihoods of Millions and a Halt to Development
In its report, the Snapp Group emphasized that due to the company’s strictly technology-driven nature, recent disruptions have not only halted development plans across all sectors but have also made routine daily activities impossible. This situation rings a serious alarm regarding the job security of individuals dependent on this platform.
According to presented statistics, over 10,000 people are currently directly employed within the Snapp conglomerate. Furthermore, the livelihoods of millions of others—including drivers, couriers, and vendors active on this platform who earn income indirectly—face a severe threat.
Statistical Freefall: 500 Billion Toman Loss for Businesses
Previously, Snapp’s Public Relations department released shocking statistics regarding the impact of the internet outage. According to this data, network disruptions have led to an 80% decrease in user requests across various Snapp services.
This precipitous drop in demand has dealt a heavy economic blow to the market core, such that businesses active within the Snapp Super App are grappling with a daily sales decline of 500 billion Tomans.
Risk of Migration Wave and Destruction of the Innovation Ecosystem
Snapp has warned that the damages caused by the internet blackout are not limited to financial losses. The persistence of these conditions could deal a fatal blow to the country’s entire digital ecosystem.
By fostering despair within the technology sector, the risk of a migration wave among specialists and elites in this field has intensified significantly, which will lead to the further shrinking of the innovation and technology landscape in the country.
