Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the forthcoming release of its 27-inch PlayStation Gaming Monitor, a display engineered to optimize the PlayStation 5 (PS5) gaming experience. This monitor incorporates a dedicated charging hook for the DualSense controller and is explicitly designed for desktop gaming applications.
The monitor features a 2560×1440 resolution IPS panel, offering High Dynamic Range (HDR) support. It includes Auto HDR tone mapping, which automatically configures HDR settings upon setup with PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles. This feature ensures optimized picture quality, characterized by vibrant colors and enhanced visual fidelity.
The PlayStation Gaming Monitor offers a comprehensive array of connectivity options. It is equipped with HDMI and DisplayPort ports, facilitating compatibility with a wide range of devices, including PCs and Macs. The monitor also integrates USB-A and USB-C ports, alongside a headphone jack. VESA mounting compatibility is provided, enabling flexible installation options. Integrated stereo speakers are included.
The PlayStation Gaming Monitor is slated for release in 2026, with initial availability planned for the United States and Japan. Pricing details have not yet been disclosed by Sony.
