A promotional video released on the Chinese social media platform Weibo showcases a new battery-saving functionality for the Mate 80 series, designated as “Outdoor Mode.” This feature is engineered to significantly enhance battery longevity.
Huawei estimates that the new Outdoor Mode can extend the device’s operational capacity to up to 14 days on a single charge. This projection represents a substantial advancement in battery performance. Verification of this claim will require real-world testing following the official product launch.
The upcoming Huawei Mate 80 series launch event will also feature the introduction of the Mate X7 foldable smartphone and the MatePad Edge tablet.
